Middle aged man found dead in a Bayelsa Popular Ashawo joint

The lifeless body of a yet-to-identified middle aged man was on Tuesday found in a Popular Ashawo joint where he allegedly lodged with a commercial sex worker in Bayelsa State.

It was later gathered that the deceased who is said to be a father of 12 children visited the Popular joint to meet his regular customer at Tombia-Amassoma Road axis of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

According to residents of the area, the deceased, aged 40, originally from Delta State, was said to be a stroke patient, before the unfortunate incident.

They said he was one of the customers to the commercial sex workers, who left home as early as 8 am on Tuesday to meet the prostitute, but was later found dead in the quarters.

It was also gathered that the lifeless body was found naked in the apartment while all the commercial sex workers bolted away on noticing that the man had died.

As at the time of visiting the scene, people living around the area were trying to get the identity of the deceased in order to contact the relative to evacuate the corpse for burial.

It was gathered that security operatives have previously raided the brothel and earmarked it as a red-light zone.
