Meanwhile, the Frontline group advocating for a powershift to the Riverine Ijaw axis (RG23 MOVEMENT), Pan Niger Delta Youth Leadership, Person Not Party Group and seventeen other Political groups converged in Port Harcourt over the weekend to deliberate on recent political happenings in Rivers State as it relates to the arrest and prosecution of a gubernatorial aspirant of the PDP and Member representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and fifteen members of the PDP that are supporters of some State and National assembly aspirants due to allegations that Hon Farah Dagogo hired thugs to attack the People Democratic Party(PDP) Secretariat in Port Harcourt.

The coalition of twenty political groups in a statement jointly signed by Mr Pureh Kalango (Convener RG23 MOVEMENT), Hon Collins Odondiri (Leader PanLeaf), Mr Fabian URANG (Head Mobilization RG23 MOVEMENT) and Mr Kenneth Okorie (Igbo Leader in Rivers State) noted that the arrest and prosecution of Hon. Dr. Farah Dagogo in the interest of peace that he has fought tirelessly to sustain in Rivers State over the past 7years.

On his part, the convener of RG23 MOVEMENT, Mr Pureh Kalango reiterated his call for calm and urged all political, ethnic and religious leaders to exercise restraint in their comment in order not to heat up the already tensed Political environment. In the three point resolution included in the appeal letter to the Governor, Mr Pureh Kalango told newsmen that the coalition will set up a team to meet with the leadership of the State PDP, Representative of the National Assembly and some respected Rivers elders.

Mr Fabian Urang (Head Mobilization RG23 MOVEMENT) re-echoed the love and loyalty the Riverine Ijaws have showed to the Governor from 2013 till date.
