One of the Youngest CFR, Dr. Eruani pays Condolence visit to His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri over the demise of his father.

Yesterday being Tuesday the 14th of February, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR and his entourage visited the Bayelsa State Governor at his hometown, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA of the State.

Whilst speaking at the Governor’s residence, Dr. Eruani Azibapu, President of the Azikel Group shared that death is inevitable and comes unannounced, even as he consoled Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State over the demise of his father, Pa. Abraham Diri.

The Azikel Chief Executive, reiterated that though it’s a sad moment, but Pa. Abraham Diri would be celebrated for producing the Governor, in whom he also inculcated good morals and values evident in his leadership style in the state.
Said he: “We are with you in this low moment, we are going to be with you till you lay Papa to rest.”

The CFR further condoled the Sampou community, Kolokuma/Opokuma and the State over the sad incident, stressing that the moment calls for us (Bayelsans) to show love, unity and to be law abiding, which will invariably sustain peace and prosperity in the state.

The Bayelsa Industrialist, on behalf of his family and the Ogbia team in his entourage, enjoined the Governor to be comforted, and prayed Pa. Diri rest in the bosom of the Lord, and for God to grant him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding, Governor Douye Diri thanked the Azikel Group President for creating time of his busy schedule to commiserate with him over the demise of his father, describing him as a friend and a brother with not just a good heart, but also a loving heart for standing with him at his low moment in life.

The Governor submitted that death is like rainfall that visits the roof of every house, adding that Dr. Eruani’s singular act of delaying his business trip to condole him, shows that he is a true friend and brother.
Said he: “because you are a brother you took it upon yourself that whatever happens to your friend also affect you and that’s why you are here and I thank you.”

Governor Diri averred that the Ijaw tradition is such that those who lost loved ones are comforted, stressing that Dr. Eruani’s visit is a demonstration that in spite of his high status, he still understood the tradition of the Ijaw people.

High point of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by Dr. Eruani at the Governor’s residence in Sampou community.
