Court sentence 38yrs old man to 5yrs jail term for defiling 8yrs old girl in Bayelsa

A Magistrate Court sitting in Yenagoa has sentenced a 38 years old man identified Justice Otobo to prison for inserting his finger into the vagina of an Eight years old girl in Famgbe community of Yenagoa Local Government area of Bayelsa State.

Otobo, who committed the crime on the 4th of February, 2020, was charged to court on the 13th of February, 2020 by the Nigerian Police on the petition filed by the Child Protection advocacy group known as the Do Foundation and diligently prosecuted by the Police.

NAIJA LIVE TV gathered that the Police dragged the arrested pedophile to court on two charges unlawful and indecent assault.

According to the Police in a suit numbered YMC/49C/2020,”You, Justice Otobo on the 4th of Febuary, 2020 did unlawfully and indecently assaulted an 8 years old by putting your finger into her vagina which cause her harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 282 of the criminal code CAP 14 laws of Bayelsa State of Nigeria 2006.”

“That You, Justice Otobo, on the same date and place in the aforesaid Magistrate District did unlawfully fingered and pour your sperm vagina of the victim (names withheld) thereby committed an offence punishable under section 287 of the criminal code laws of Bayelsa State of Nigeria 2006.

The arrested pedophile, Justice Otobo, however pleaded guilty to the two count charges. The Magistrate later found him guilty and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment.
