The Chairman of Brass Local Government Council Hon. Bello Bina has directed the immediate payment of civil servants in the Local Government Council.
He said, Due to security reasons, all verified civil servants who works under Brass LGA will receive their salaries by Cheques from Monday next week at the Council Secretariat in Twon-Brass.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Brass LGA, Mr Saint Mienpamo says, the delay of the payments of workers salaries was because of the ongoing verification exercise to clean up payroll fraud and ghosts workers in the system. “the statement further explained that, the payment exercise will be department by department starting from Monday the 16th day of May 2016 at the council Secretariat in Twon-Brass.
Council workers are by this announcement to come along with their original documents for proper verification and immediately payment of their salaries as follows:
1). Date: 16th & 17th May 2016.
Admin and general services.
2). Date: 18th May 2016.
i). Agriculture and Natural Resources.
ii). Budget, Planning Resources and Statistics.
iii). Finance and Suppliers.
iv). Primary Health Care.
3). Date: 20th May 2016.
i). Social Development, Education Information, Sports and Culture.
ii). Works, Transport, Housing, Land and Survey
