Nigerian actor Deyemi Okanlawon advised people who are not financially stable to stay off anything relating to a serious relationship.

Deyemi in a tweet advised people to focus on themselves and their financial stability before committing to a serious relationship.

He encouraged individuals to take a break from romantic engagements until they become financially buoyant.

“If you’re not yet financially buoyant, perhaps it is wise to take a break from “serious” relationship and focus on building yourself… this message from the federal association of common sense is for men & women #openletter #butwhatdoiknow,” Deyemi said.

While the actor acknowledged that people can engage in romance at any stage of their lives, he suggested that caution should be exercised before entering into more committed relationships.

The actor is known for sharing open letters on his social media platforms. He recently faced criticism for a letter he wrote to Thaddeus, who won the House of Reps election in Eti-Osa constituency in Lagos State about his plans for the constituency.

In response to the backlash, Okanlawon posted a video on his Instagram page, apologizing to Thaddeus and those who were offended by his post.
